Donation Information

All donors who contribute $100 or more shall receive a certificate suitable for framing in recognition of their donation.

All donors who contribute $2000 or more shall have a stone plaque containing their personal or family name and Irish County or U.S. State of Origin placed at the foot of the Memorial in recognition of their donation. Depending on the size of the plaque purchased, additional inscriptions can be added.

No business names or logos are permitted on the plaques. In the event that a business contributes to the Memorial, the name of the business owner or family name shall be used on the plaque. The names of non-profit or cultural groups are however permitted. Subject to space and cost restrictions similar accommodations may be made for donations less than $2000. The decision of the Memorial Committee is final in this regard.

In addition, all donors shall have their name and biography (optional) recorded in a Roll of Honor and included in a Dedication Book published at the conclusion of the project.

Any unused funds at the completion of the project shall be divided between the Oregon Food Bank, Portland's Blanchet House and the Irish charity Concern, who provide Third World Famine relief.

Checks should be made payable to the Irish Famine Memorial Fund and mailed to Oregon's Irish Famine Memorial, 3344 S.W. Maricara Street, Portland, Oregon 97219. Please call Brian Doherty at (503) 224-5858 or David O'Longaigh at (503) 823-7704 for additional information. All contributions to Oregon's Irish Famine Memorial are tax deductible. Tax receipts will be provided.
