Welcome to Kells Irish Restaurant, Bar & Private Dining. Founded in 1983 by the McAleese family, Kells brings the traditions and culture of the Glens of Antrim to Seattle and offers a truly authentic Irish experience. Located in Seattle’s iconic Pike Place Market, Kells occupies one of the oldest historic buildings in the city – the Butterworth building, Seattle's first mortuary - bringing old town charm and Irish culture to life. In addition to superb dine-in areas, our banquet and private dining facility proves popular no matter what the season.

Eat. Our truly Irish and organic ‘farm to table’ menu is regularly praised by locals, tourists and critics with all fresh produce sourced locally and from the Kells family farm (‘The Feirme’) in Oregon.

Drink. Kells is proud to offer one of the cities largest whiskey collections. Patrons also appreciate our fully stocked bar and our locally brewed selection of Kells beers (8 pipeline beers plus seasonal offerings from lager to stout).

Celebrate. In addition to true Irish ‘old country’ ambiance, we offer live Irish music so check our schedule to ensure you don't miss regular favorites like 'Stark Raving Plaid', 'Grafton Street', 'Cu lan ti' and more! The Kells St Patricks Day event is also staple on the local festive calendar – in fact, Kells has cultivated a reputation for being the ‘go to’ venue for large parties, events, tastings and catering.

Slainte! If you can't go to Ireland, come to Kells.
